We Hire Both Licensed and Unlicensed Bilingual Therapists

Denver Latino Counseling actively seeks both licensed therapists and recent graduates pursuing licensure who are passionate about serving the Latino community. We provide comprehensive clinical supervision and mentorship to unlicensed clinicians while they gain valuable experience and work toward licensure.

Whether you’re an experienced licensed professional or just beginning your career in Latino mental health, we offer supportive opportunities to make a meaningful impact in our community while building your clinical skills and cultural competency.

Current Openings for Bilingual Mental Health Professionals

Are you a licensed professional counselor or currently pursuing licensure who is passionate about serving the Latino community? We’re hiring both licensed therapists and unlicensed clinicians seeking supervision to work in-person at our Englewood office.

We’re specifically seeking therapists who are fluent in Spanish and have specialized training or strong interest in serving Latino families. For unlicensed candidates, we provide comprehensive clinical supervision to support your licensure journey while you gain valuable experience serving the Latino community.

Since 95% of our Latino clients prefer in-person therapy, we aren’t considering teletherapy-only candidates. This allows us to fill your caseload quickly with clients who are the right cultural fit for your expertise.

A Practice Built for Latino Mental Health Professionals

Denver Latino Counseling is a therapist-owned business created specifically to serve the Latino community with culturally competent care. We’ve built our practice to create sustainable “forever jobs” for bilingual therapists who are passionate about Latino mental health.

As a private pay practice accepting Medicaid, our therapists earn significantly more per session than most therapy offices in Denver. Our full-time therapists (20-30 client hours per week) consistently make over $100,000 per year while maintaining work-life balance.

Our part-time therapists earn more than many full-time community mental health positions, with the added satisfaction of serving clients who truly match their cultural expertise and language skills.

Why Denver Latino Counseling is Different

We are the opposite of agencies that underpay therapists while overloading them with mismatched clients. Our culture emphasizes open communication, clinical independence, cultural competence, and respect for both therapists and clients.

We serve Latino individuals, couples, families, teens, and children who specifically seek culturally informed therapy. Our clients come to us organically or through referrals from Latino community organizations throughout Denver, Aurora, Westminster, and surrounding areas.

Most of our therapists build a full caseload within 3 months or less, depending on their specializations and client populations they serve. Therapists with multiple cultural competencies and language skills often have full schedules within 1-2 months.

What We're Looking For
For Licensed Therapists:
  • Licensed professional counselor (LPC) or licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in Colorado

  • Native or near-native Spanish fluency for conducting therapy

  • Cultural competency in serving Latino families

  • Additional training in specialized modalities (trauma counseling, family therapy, couples therapy, etc.)

  • Commitment to in-person therapy delivery

For Unlicensed Therapists:
  • Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or related mental health field

  • Currently pursuing licensure in Colorado (LPC or LMFT track)

  • Native or near-native Spanish fluency

  • Cultural competency and passion for serving Latino families

  • We provide clinical supervision to support your licensure journey

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with immigration stress and acculturation challenges

  • Training in anxiety and depression treatment for Latino populations

  • Understanding of Latino family dynamics and cultural values (familismo, respeto, personalismo)

  • Experience with parenting support for bicultural families

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care for immigrant populations

Client-Centered Approach: We respond to client inquiries the same day, including quick responses outside business hours when needed. If you prefer strict boundaries around weekend or evening communication, this role may not be the right fit.

Schedule Flexibility: We offer evening and weekend availability to accommodate Latino families’ work schedules. This is perfect for therapists seeking alternative schedules or additional income doing meaningful cultural work.

Competitive Compensation and Benefits

We believe in paying our therapists fairly for their specialized cultural and linguistic skills. Unlike practices that take 50% of session fees, we provide industry-leading compensation splits that reflect the value of bilingual, culturally competent therapy.

What We Provide:
  • Weekly pay with reliable 1099 processing (licensed) or W-2 employment (unlicensed)

  • Professional office space in our Englewood location

  • Clinical supervision for unlicensed therapists pursuing licensure

  • Marketing support and client matching services

  • Continuing education opportunities in Latino mental health

  • Referral network within the Latino community

  • Administrative support for insurance and Medicaid billing

  • Mentorship in culturally competent therapy practices

Competitive Compensation and Benefits

We understand that serving Latino families requires more than language translation—it requires deep cultural competence. Our therapists work with clients dealing with immigration stress, acculturation challenges, intergenerational conflicts, and the intersection of cultural identity with mental health.

We provide specialized services for Latino families including couples counseling that honors cultural values, family therapy that addresses bicultural challenges, trauma counseling for immigration-related experiences, and parenting support for raising children between two cultures.

Community Impact and Professional Growth

Working at Denver Latino Counseling means contributing to reducing mental health disparities in the Latino community. You’ll work with clients who desperately need culturally competent care and often have limited options for Spanish-speaking therapy.

As our practice grows, we create opportunities for professional development, specialized training in Latino mental health, and leadership roles within our culturally focused practice. We support therapists who want to present at conferences, write about Latino mental health, or develop new programs.

Application Process

To apply, email your resume and cover letter explaining your passion for Latino mental health to our clinical director. Please include:

  • Your Spanish language proficiency level

  • Experience serving Latino populations

  • Specialized training and certifications

  • Cultural competency background

  • Availability for evening/weekend hours
